The home side created 13 shots on goal to Monza’s eight and went ahead in the 35th minute through Ederson’s tidy finish from inside the box.

Gianluca Scamacca made it 2-0 three minutes before half time when he headed in Matteo Ruggeri’s pinpoint cross.

Scamacca got his second in the 62nd minute with a shot into the bottom-right post from outside the box that Michele Di Gregoria got a hand to but couldn’t keep out.
