Before that match the Azzurri, who are second in qualifying Group I with nine points, six behind leaders Norway with a game in hand, will face Estonia in Tallinn on Friday.
For security reasons, the match will be played in front of a reduced crowd.
“I will just say [to the players] to work well and try not to be influenced [by the situation],” Gattuso told reports.
“The atmosphere is not good.
“I’m thinking of the Udine match with Israel. There is a lot of pressure, we need to be ready.
“There won’t be many people [at the match].
“I understand that and I understand the concern. It hurts my heart to see what is happening.
“But we have to play this match otherwise we’ll lose 3-0.
“We cannot say that the environment is serene. There will be 5000 people inside the stadium and 10,000 outside.”
