It was a big game for Yitay Towns who now holds the record for the most appearance for Avondale FC.

Ott scored first in the 30th minute to make it 1-0 for the home team, and that remained the scoreline at half time.

The game opened up in the 59th minute after Moreland’s Diego Cuba was given a red card for a foul in the box.

Town stepped up to take the subsequent penalty and made no mistake in his record-breaking game.

Centaro scored in the 64th minute before Vargas scored in the 77th to make it two goals for two under 23 players playing up.

Carpenter was fouled in the box and scored the resulting penalty to make it 5-0 in the 83rd minute.

Moreland City scored a goal in stoppage time to make it 5-1. The win keeps them in touching distance of South Melbourne, with a big home game against Hume City this Saturday at Avenger Park.

The Avondale FC Women played away to Kings Domain FC and despite suffering a small scare, were able to maintain their perfect league season with a 3-2 win.

The win keeps them top of the table with a home game against Ballarat City coming up this Sunday at Fairbairn Park.
