Possession between the two sides was roughly equal, with Bari creating six scoring chances to Reggina’s seven.

The away side started brightly with a run down the wing by David Strelec, but his cross was intercepted by Elia Caprile.

Minutes later and Caprile was the hero again for Bari as he got low to save Luigi Canotto’s angled shot.

Bari got their goal just on the stroke of half time as Michael Folorunsho got across his defender to get a foot on the end of Sebastiano Esposito’s cross into the box.

Reggina created a number of chances in the second half, but were unable to beat an in-form Caprile.

Bari head into the last game of the season unable to finish anywhere other than third, while Reggina currently sit in tenth.

Reggina will need to win against fellow playoff hopefuls Ascoli next week while hoping Pisa and Palermo fail to win.
