Winners of the Ferragosto Golden Ticket could win a “taste of Italy” with a $200 food voucher to Pasticceria Papa, plus other sweet prizes such as gelato and ice-cream vouchers to Duccio Gelato and Cremeria de Luca.
More prizes are soon to be announced!
To enter, festivalgoers must sign up to the email mailing list via Collaborate Canada Bay and share who their favourite local Italian business is and why in 25 words or less.
Only one entry is permitted per person.
This is a game of skill, not chance and entries should be thoughtful and creative.
The entries will be judged by a panel, made up of three City of Canada Bay staff.
The winner will be determined by popular vote.
Visitors to this year’s Ferragosto can expect market stalls, entertainment and free rides.
“Our city is a wonderful place, thanks to its vibrancy, diversity and sense of community,” Angelo Tsirekas, Mayor of Canada Bay Council said.
He described last year’s hotly-anticipated Italian bonanza as “a big success”.
“With 300 market stalls and a lot of entertainment, the festival had something for everyone,” he concluded.
