Berardi’s injury raises the prospect he might miss the upcoming European Championship in Germany.

Returning from a separate injury in January to his left knee, which required surgery, Berardi went down in the 58th minute and immediately grasped his right ankle.

Karol Swiderski scored in the 79th minute with a deflected shot for Verona, to move his side one spot above the drop zone.
