“I take note of the fact that the Greens are now out of the centre-left coalition on the Bologna council,” said Lepore, a leading member of the centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD).
“I would never have imagined that they would defend Putin supporters for a handful of votes [as] there’s a limit to everything.”
Green councillor Davide Celli had told the council “I am against all forms of censorship” in relation to council moves to stop the screening.
