The home side struggled to hold the ball, having just 38 per cent possession and creating seven shots on goal to Cremonese’s 15. Only one of Brescia’s seven shots were on target.

The visitors took the lead in the 17th minute when Luca Ravanelli headed in from point blank range after a teammate’s earlier attempt hit the woodwork and fortuitously rebounded to him.

Massimo Coda made it 2-0 in the 32nd minute when he met Valentin Antov’s inviting cross at full speed, heading the ball past Luca Lezzerini.

Cremonese sealed the three points in the 89th minute when David Okereke cut inside his marker with a dummy shot before shooting past the keeper’s right.

Brescia are 15th on the table, three points clear of the drop zone while Cremonese are fourth.
