Brescia have been relegated to Serie C after a heartbreaking injury time goal gave Cosenza the 2-1 win on aggregate.
The aggregate score going into the match was 1-0 to Cosenza.
The home side were dominant with 63 per cent possession and 13 shots on goal compared to Cosenza’s three.
Cosenza had an early counterattack that ended with a shot from Marco Nasti but it was straight at Andrenacci.
Brescia’s Marcin Listkowski responded with a long-range strike of his own that was met with a good save from Alessandro Micai.
In the second half, Brescia’s Tom Van de Looi’s strike from outside the box rattled the crossbar.
In the 74th minute Brescia made it 1-1 on aggregate when Dimitri Bisoli volleyed in Pablo Rodriguez’s cross.
With the game looking as thought it was headed for extra time, Cosenza broke Brescia hearts five minutes into injury time.
Marco Brescianini’s free kick was headed in by Andrea Meroni, meaning Cosenza will remain in Serie B next season.
