Brescia win first game back in Serie B

Brescia have won their first game since being admitted back into Serie B, beating ten-man Cosenza 1-0 at home.

Both sides managed just one shot on target for the whole match. Luckily for Brescia, they scored theirs.

The game’s lone goal came in the 53rd minute with a nice team combination in and around the box, finished off by Birkir Bjarnason whose shot went into the bottom-right corner.

14 minutes before full time saw Filippo Sgarbi shown a straight red card for a dangerous studs-up challenge.
