Carnival of Cultures is a colourful community event which celebrates the many cultures that make up our vibrant inner west community through great cultural performances, delicious food and market stalls as well as fun activities for all ages.
The annual event will take place in Ashfield Park on Sunday, February 29, 2019.
The Italian community has previously been represented at the festival in the food sector, by Casa di Miele Italian honey bread and gingerbread.
In 2017, live performances on the main stage included headlining act Christine Anu, and a cultural dance showcase featuring classical Indian Bharatanatyam, Spanish flamenco, traditional Greek and Chinese-Tibetan dance.
There is certainly room for some traditional southern Italian tarantella dance, or perhaps a little Italian opera.
