The visitors took the lead in the 14th minute when Frank Tsadjout finished into an empty net after the ball bounced straight to him off the crossbar.
Cremonese doubled their advantage five minutes after the break when Daniel Ciofani’s glancing header found the inside of the far post.
One minute later, Catanzaro halved the deficit through Tommaso Biasci, who found the top corner from the edge of the box.
Catanzaro drew level in the 68th minute when Cremonese’s failure to deal with a cross gifted Enrico Brignola an empty goal from a yard out.
