This traditional festival is an important occasion for the members of the association and their friends, allowing them to come together and celebrate their cultural roots.
The Spring Festival not only allows for the preservation and sharing of traditions, but it also fosters social cohesion and strengthens bonds within the Bellunese community.
This year, the festival was held at Manor House in Wetherill Park. Welcoming the attendees was the president of the Bellunesi Association’s Sydney branch, Giacomino De Martin.
De Martin thanked the members and their friends who, with their presence, contribute to keeping the Bellunese traditions alive.
The president then praised the ongoing and significant work of his entire committee and added that musician Michael Riviera, along with the excellent service and cuisine of Manor House, provided a special touch to the celebration.
De Martin concluded his speech by raising a glass “to the health, happiness and prosperity of all of us”.
The celebration was attended by 140 people who enjoyed the food expertly prepared by the chefs at Manor House and danced carefreely to Riviera’s music.
As is now the norm, the raffle with quality prizes gave the winners something extra to smile about. The lucky winners were Adriano Morandin, Bruna Strapazzon, Lino Pavirani, Daniel Calligari and Angela Andreatta.
The Spring Festival is enriched by new members every year. They help to keep the tradition of Bellunese culture alive with enthusiasm and pride.
