Udinese created 15 chances to the visitors’ six. Only two of Fiorentina’s shots were on target, and they scored both.
The away team went ahead in the 32nd minute when Lucas Martinez was put through on goal by a wonderful lobbed through ball from Giacomo Bonaventura before shooting across the keeper and scoring.
Bonaventura sealed the points for Fiorentina in added time when a blocked cross fell his way just outside the box, allowing him to dispatch a cool finish into the right post with the inside of his foot.
Fiorentina find themselves fifth on the table while Udinese are predictable in the drop zone.
