It was a third defeat in seven league matches since Juric replaced the fired Daniele De Rossi.

Casper Tengstedt opened the scoring for the home team in the 13th minute after he intercepted an awful attempt at a switch with his chest before running in on goal and slotting it under the oncoming Mile Svilar.

Roma equalised through Matías Soulé in the 28th with a clever backheel into a pretty-much-empty net.

Verona were back ahead five minutes later thanks to a Giangiacomo Magnani header from a corner.

Artem Dovbyk made it 2-2 eight minutes after the break with an easy finish from close range.

Verona took the lead for the third and final time with only two and a half minutes remaining in regular time. Abdou Harroui got on the end of some excellent work out wide by Dailon Livramento before finishing into the right post.

In the fifth minute of stoppage time, Livramento was shown a straight red for a wild challenge on Stephan El Shaarawy.

With the final score remaining at 3-2, Verona, who had lost five of their last six matches, moved up to 12th and just a point below Roma.
