Piovano has accepted the appointment and is effective from last week, allowing the board to continue and complete the process of selecting and recruiting a new permanent CEO.
President Vincent Volpe expressed his sincere appreciation, both personally and on behalf of the entire organisation, for Piovano’s willingness to assume the leadership of Co.As.It. during this transition phase.
Piovano preceded Fedi as the organisation’s CEO, a role he held for more than 40 years, and is a deep and long-standing expert on Co.As.It. and its central role within the Italian community.
“Giancarlo’s experience and high level of professionalism are a guarantee for the Board and for Co.As.It. as a whole at this time of transition,” Volpe said.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to him for his availability in accepting the interim appointment.
“With him at the helm until the new CEO is appointed, Co.As.It. is in very good hands.”
In thanking the president and the board for the trust placed in him, Piovano said he is ready to guide the organisation through this transitional phase and expressed confidence that Co.As.It. will soon identify a new CEO capable of leading it into the future.
