The special guest speaker is NSW Deputy Chief Health Officer Marianne Gale.
Dr Gale is part of the executive team at South-Eastern Sydney Local Health, in her role as director of population and community health.
She will provide an update on the current COVID-19 health advice and answer questions about COVID-19 vaccinations.
The general manager of CO.AS.IT., Thomas Camporeale, will chair the event.
“Our multicultural communities continue to face unique challenges as a result of this pandemic,” Camporeale stated.
“This online forum will provide a platform for members of our communities to ask questions about COVID-19.”
Dr Gale and Camporeale will be joined by NSW Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello, who is involved in the crisis cabinet that has led NSW’s response to COVID-19.
The minister’s particular focus has been on delivering digital solutions such as the Service NSW QR code check-in feature and the real-time data analysis which has informed the state’s decision making.
NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Tony Cooke and Fairfield MP Guy Zangari will also be in attendance.
This community forum is in line with the government’s multicultural outreach plan, which aims to inform culturally and linguistically diverse communities about all aspects of the fight against COVID-19.
“Organisations such as CO.AS.IT. play an ongoing role in sharing public health updates and information with diverse communities during the pandemic,” Camporeale said.
“We are confident that this forum will encourage communities to be COVID-safe.”
