Lazio scored in the 18th minute when Gustav Isaksen forced a turnover and played the ball through to Ciro Immobile before the Lazio captain cut back to him for a finish with the side of his foot.
Bologna equalised shortly before half time thanks to a howler of a pass from Lazio keeper Ivan Provedel that was intercepted by Giovanni Fabbian and finished from close range by Oussama El Azzouzi.
The visitors took the lead in the 78th minute when Joshua Zirkzee ran into the box to finish Victor Kristiansen’s cross with a low and powerful half volley.
Bologna’s fourth straight victory moved them back into fifth place, level on points with fourth-placed Atalanta. Lazio remain eighth.
