Genoa would be disappointed to have given up a 2-0 lead, but were lucky to have scored with their only two shots on target.

The visitors took the lead after Strootman intercepted Gomis’ roll out to Da Cunha and toe-poked it into the bottom left corner from outside the box.

Como almost immediately equalised when Bellemo’s shot through a sea of legs was saved by an outstretched Martinez, who saw it late.

Massimo Coda went close to doubling Genoa’s lead straight after half time, but his shot hit the post.

Coda would get another chance minutes later however, this time getting his goal with a left-footed volley hit low and hard past Gomis.

Como were handed a lifeline in the 62nd minute thanks to a well-taken Cutrone strike, and in the 88th minute got their equaliser.

Simone Canestrelli headed the ball back across goal from a corner to the waiting Mancuso, who could hardly miss from point-blank range.

The draw leaves Genoa in second place, now six points behind leaders Frosinone.
