With possession level, the visitors created 11 scoring chances (clinically finishing almost half of them) to Como’s nine. However, only two of Como’s shots were on target.
Lazio took the lead in the 28th when Valentin Castellanos expertly dispatched a penalty awarded for a handball.
Pedro made it 2-0 three minutes later when his shot somehow went underneath Como goalkeeper Emil Audero.
Luca Mazzitelli got one back for Como soon after half time with an acrobatic overhead kick from a tight angle.
Como’s Matthias Braunoder received a second yellow card in the 62nd minute for a cynical foul preventing Lazio from breaking on the counter.
Lazio’s one-man advantage lasted for just under three minutes before Nuno Tavares received his own second yellow for a poorly timed challenge.
As the game settled, Lazio got back to scoring. Patric got their third in the 71st with a header at the back post from a corner.
Castellanos had his brace in the 81st with a tidy finish from a one-on-one duel with the keeper.
Another run in on goal allowed Loum Tchaouna to round out the scoring for Lazio in added time as Audero could only drop to his knees.
Como sit in 15th place on the table with nine points.
