The visitors took the lead through a rare error from Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, but Rafael Leão’s clever lob rescued a point for the Rossoneri in the second half.

The opening stages were competitive, but it was Como who struck first in the 32nd minute. A mix-up at the back allowed Nico Paz to capitalise on a poor pass by Maignan and finish through the keeper’s legs, adding insult to injury.

Milan pressed more urgently after the break and created good opportunities through their attacking players.

Their persistence paid off in the 64th minute when Leão produced a moment of individual quality, lifting a precise lob over the Como goalkeeper Jean Butez to bring the sides level and silence the visiting fans.

After the equaliser, both teams had chances to snatch a winner, but ultimately neither could find a decisive goal.

The draw keeps Milan unbeaten in their last 24 league outings, but represents a missed opportunity to close the gap on Inter, while Como can take heart from holding firm on the road against one of Serie A’s strongest teams.
