From the early morning, members arrived with their cars polished to perfection and pride clearly on display. There was gleaming chrome, bonnets lifted for the curious, conversations among enthusiasts and the simple pleasure of catching up.

The first official gathering of the year confirmed what the club is becoming: much more than a group of motorists.

Founded in June 2024, MAC continues to grow. Created to bring together people united by a love of four wheels, it now organises monthly (and sometimes even fortnightly) meetups that become opportunities to share a coffee, a meal or simply the satisfaction of showing and admiring each other’s vehicles.

February’s breakfast drew a particularly strong turnout, with many families and children present—a detail far from incidental. As member and young father Paul D’Orazio explained, the club’s real strength lies in its inclusivity.

“Our community is welcoming, both for individuals and families,” he said.

“There’s no pressure to attend every event; everyone is free to join when they want. Everyone feels welcome, regardless of the car they own, their age or their background.”

Its clear identity is focused less on competition and more on sharing. Vice-captain Sam Noiosi also highlighted how the club is becoming a reference point for many families, strengthening the sense of belonging that turns each gathering into something to experience together.

Appreciation also came from the host venue. Owner Pat Bava commented: “It was a real pleasure to host the Marconi Automobile Club for breakfast. Our staff were impressed by the group’s friendliness, and their cars caught the attention of passers-by along the river.”

The Marconi Automobile Club is open to new members of all ages and backgrounds. The requirement? Simple: four wheels and an engine.
