Pisa starting XI (4-3-2-1): Nicolas (GK), Esteves, Caracciolo, Hermannsson, Mastinu, De Vitis, Marin, Sibilli, Moreo, Gliozzi.

Going into the match as underdogs, Cosenza managed to keep a clean sheet despite giving most of the ball to Pisa and conceding 15 shots on goal.

Cosenza keeper Alessandro Micai was in fine form, saving a barrage of Pisa attacks.

The home side went close thanks to a long-range shot from D’Orazio, who caught the ball sweetly but hit it too centrally to really trouble Nicolas.

After a promising few minutes where Cosenza created several chances, they finally took the lead thanks to a header from Marco Nasti who finished off the cross from Manuel Marras.

In the second half Pisa went close to equalising through two volleys inside the box, forcing a double save from Micai.

It was a nervy end to the match for Cosenza, who had to withstand their goal being constantly under siege.

In the end they managed to hold out and have moved up to 16th, just one point from safety.
