The company, which currently operates 28 outlets in Italy, intends to have 880 outlets across the country by 2030.

Domino’s is reportedly seeking entrepreneurs to invest in its franchising plan, which would see each restaurant hire 14 employees, six of whom would be delivery personnel. 

Reports say the company will concentrate its expansion mainly in the northern and central regions – as far south as Rome – with the southern regions seen as a more difficult market to break into.

The US multinational, which has 16,000 restaurants in 85 countries, is reportedly eager to invest in the greater Milan area as well as Italian cities such as Varese, Como, Lecco, Cremona, Mantua, Lodi, Pavia.

Domino’s stated intention is to reach 2 per cent of the market share of pizzerie in Italy by 2030, with the goal of becoming a major player in home delivery.
