Reggiana took the lead in under ten minutes when Natan Girma drove into the box from the left wing and blasted the ball into the back of the net. The shot was central but had enough power to beat Bari keeper Brenno.
Valerio Di Cesare brought Bari level in the 34th minute with a volley from close range that went in off the crossbar.
