Ex cops, Dell'Utri acquittal in state-Mafia talks upheld

The supreme Court of Cassation on Thursday upheld the acquittal of three former Carabinieri special branch officers as well as Forza Italia Senator Marcello Dell'Utri on charges of threatening government members decades ago.

The threats were alleged to have occured during State-Mafia negotiations to stop an early 1990s bombing campaign.
