Filippo Ranocchia put Palermo ahead in the 68th minute with a clever toe poke into the bottom-right corner after bringing the ball under control in the box.
Edoardo Soleri made it 2-0 just eight minutes later with a powerful header.
Edgeras Dubickas made it interesting in injury time with a scuffed shot from close range that bounced over the keeper.
However, there was to be no comeback for FeralpiSalo who remain second last on the table.
Palermo are fifth.
