Prepare for a one-day slice of la dolce vita!

The organisers guarantee a world-class entertainment program and enough flavour-makers to colour Brisbane red, white and green for one bellissimo day.

The program includes the internationally acclaimed Gruppo Storico Fivizzano Flagthrowers direct from Italy, the Brisbane Tarantella Dancers, swordsmen Prima Spada, historical re-enactment specialists Pax Romana, Italian tenor Raffaele Pierno, Italian-Australian songstress Cosima de Vito and Diletta Luna from Brisbane and the famed pizza acrobat Youssef Ben-Touati.

A range of authentic Italian fare will be on offer, from espresso, pasta, pizza, and calamari to cannoli, gnocchi and Nutella doughnuts, from granita to Italian meatballs, and more.

The event is an exciting celebration of local and national Italian artists, entertainers, dancers, singers and performers and will be hosted by James Liotta, the award-winning stage, screen and television performer.

Festitalia is also looking for volunteers to help make the magic happen.

From costume management, food competition coordination and chef masterclass support, through to festival gate greeters, info booth and raffle ticket operators – there are a variety of opportunities.

Festitalia 2018 will again be held at Spencer Park, home to the iconic Brisbane City Football Club.

The event will unfold on Sunday, October 14, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Under the Patronage of the Italian Consulate in Brisbane, Festitalia is Queensland’s only official Italian Festival.

If you would like to volunteer at Festitalia, register on the volunteer page by Friday September 28.
