A day later, Sonia Bergamasco will debut a theatre performance called Il sogno di Beatrice (Beatrice’s dream), based on a play by Ruggero Cappuccio. The play is inspired by the princess of Lampedusa, the fascinating and cultured mother of novelist Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.

On August 24, Alessandro D’Avenia will talk about the profound meaning of the epic Greek poem Odyssey.

The festival is directed by Alcide Marchioro under the patronage of the culture ministry.
