The home team had 54 per cent possession and created 15 chances to Frosinone’s six.
Andrea Belotti gave Fiorentina the lead in the 16th minute when he sent Jonathan Ikone’s cutback into the far post.
Ikone doubled their advantage just three minutes later when his deflected shot looped over Frosinone keeper Stefano Turati.
Lucas Martinez made it 3-0 right before the break with a powerful header that went in off the crossbar.
It was more of the same in the second half as Nicolas Gonzalez scored Fiorentina’s fourth in the 53rd with a volley rifled into the roof of the net.
Luca Mazzitelli got one back for the visitors in the 66th minute with a deflected freekick that wrongfooted Fiorentina keeper Pietro Terracciano.
Antonin Barak restored the four-goal buffer with five minutes remaining when he sprinted into the box and headed in a rebounded keeper’s parry back towards the goal and across the line.
Fiorentina are seventh, one point behind Roma but with a game in hand.
