Fiorentina have sold 54.2 million euros worth of players so far this window. Fans will be pleased to see the club invest most of that back into recruits, having spent 43.5 million on players coming in.
The big outs are the Brazilians Arthur Cabral and Igor, who have gone to Benfica and Brighton respectively for a combined total 37 million euros.
They’ve brought in Lucas Beltran from River Plate and M’Bala Nzola from Spezia for 12 million each, and nabbed Everton’s Yerry Mina on a free transfer while also getting Brazilian holding midfielder Arthur Melo.
Il Globo verdict: Fiorentina have done some good business this transfer window. The less intense match schedule without European football may also do them some favours. Getting Arthur Melo back in form will be key for them, as the Brazilian only featured once, for 13 minutes, at Liverpool last season.
Prediction: They’ll do well and challenge for European qualification. 6th- 9th.
