Running from August 30 to September 9, the festival will feature Paolo Virzì’s ‘The Leisure Seeker’, also known as ‘Ella and John’.
Starring Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland, the poignant film is based on the 2009 novel The Leisure Seeker by Michael Zadoorian, and is also Virzì’s first full English-language film.
Also set to hit the screens is ‘Ammore e Malavita’ by Manetti Bros, a musical about the southern city of Naples starring Giampaolo Morelli, Serena Rossi and Carlo Buccirosso.
The final two Italian films participating in the event are Andrea Pallaoro's drama ‘Hannah’ starring Charlotte Rampling and André Wilms, and Sebastiano Riso’s drama ‘Una Famiglia’ starring Micaela Ramazzotti and Patrick Bruel.
