Take a look at some of the festival highlights.

Cooking with nonna

When it comes to pasta, nonna knows best.

A group of nonne will take to the stage on Sunday to make pasta while chatting with Johnny Di Francesco of 400 Gradi about the traditional pasta dishes and sauces of their respective regions.

If you are interested in participating and sharing your recipe on stage, call (03) 8341 3200 or reach out via email.

Classic car display

Italians’ love for fast and beautiful cars will once again be celebrated at this year’s festival.

Stroll through the streets and admire a selection of amazing vintage and modern cars showcased by the Targa Florio Australian Tribute, as well some show-stopping Hot Rods that were once an integral part of Lygon Street’s culture.

To mark the return of the Australian Grand Prix in April, the festival will also feature a real Formula 1 car that people can get up close and personal with.

Travel to Emilia-Romagna with Luca Ciano

Chef Luca Ciano has become a household name following the successful debut of his television show, Luca’s Key Ingredient, in 2021.

Now, festivalgoers will have the chance to watch him work his magic live on stage.

Ciano will transport the audience to Emilia-Romagna, known as Italy’s “Food Valley” for its internationally renowned culinary traditions and authentic products such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma and Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena DOP.
