The home team had a whopping 71 per cent of the ball and created eight chances. Despite only a minority of the game with the ball, Frosinone were able to create 11 chances of their own and more importantly, keep a clean sheet.

Walid Cheddira scored the game’s only goal in the 9th minute when he headed in Abdou Harroui’s looping cross from close range.

Frosinone take on fellow relegation battlers Udinese in the final game of the season. For Frosinone, a draw will be enough to secure Serie A football for next season. However, if they lose and Empoli and Verona win their games, they will be relegated.
