Adam’s paediatrician father and nine siblings were killed in an Israeli bombardment of their home in Khan Younis, during which he was injured.
The boy, who risks losing the use of an arm because of his injuries, will come with his mother, who is also a doctor and some other family members, Tajani said.
“I think that Adam will be able to leave Gaza on June 11,” Tajani said on the sidelines of a UNESCO Conference in Naples.
“His mother, his aunt and his four cousins will be with him.
“He’ll be treated in one of the best Italian paediatric hospitals.
“As for Gaza, we continue to help the civilian population,” Tajani went on.
“According to the Palestinian Foreign Minister, who came to Rome for the inauguration mass of Pope Leo XIV, we are the country that has done the most.
“We have welcomed 700 Palestinians to Italy.
“We have brought them out of the Gaza Strip, and we have 130 children who are hospitalised in the best Italian paediatric hospitals.
“We continue our humanitarian effort.
“We are continuing the Food for Gaza project, with all the difficulties that exist.
“You know what our position is, enough bombings, enough war.”
