The Partenopei have turned to the former Lille, Marseille, Lyon and Al Nassr coach while still on a high from claiming their third Serie A title since the brace grabbed in the Maradona glory years in 1987 and 1990.

“On Napoli’s ambitions, President (Aurelio) De Laurentiis and I are on the same level,” said Garcia at the elaborate Capodimonte Museum.

“If I start a competition, I play to win it.

“The president,” Garcia continued, commenting on De Laurentiis’ aim to go a long way in the Champions League, “has set a very high bar.”

“There are many clubs that have put a lot of money into winning the Champions League, but I know how to dream and the dream is to win trophies, I am here for this.”
