Napoli came out flying in front of their home crowd, drawing first blood after just seven minutes. A lively run down the right flank from David Neres ended in a clever square ball to Højlund, who slid in to finish clinically and break the deadlock.

For the rest of the first half, Napoli maintained control, creating the better chances and coming close to doubling their lead several times.
Meanwhile, Juventus looked for openings on the counter but struggled to produce anything truly dangerous.
The second half brought renewed hope for Juventus. Ten minutes after the restart, they drew level. A quick transition led to Kenan Yildiz receiving the ball inside the area, and with a low, sharp strike he restored parity and silenced the home crowd. For several minutes afterwards it looked like the momentum had shifted.
But Napoli refused to buckle. With 12 minutes to go, they regained control when Højlund—ever alert in the box—nodded in from close range after a failed clearance by Weston McKennie. It proved the decisive blow.
In response, Juventus poured men forward, desperate for a second equaliser. But Napoli’s defence held firm as the final whistle sparked wild celebrations among the Azzurri faithful.

The win underscores Napoli’s credentials as genuine title contenders. For Juventus, it’s a bitter reality check of where they’re at relative to the other big clubs.
