The decision was part of a so-called ‘immediate’ procedure that skips the preliminary hearing stage.
The defendants, both 19, will appear for trial on April 2 on charges of aggravated rape and producing child porn by filming the attack and then using the video to threaten the victims.
Both defendants are currently under house arrest in northern Italy.
Earlier on Tuesday, a preliminary investigations judge at Naples’ juvenile court ordered an immediate trial for seven minors implicated in the case that shocked the nation and prompted the government of Giorgia Meloni to introduce new measures clamping down on juvenile crime.
Their trial has been set for March 28.
