Announced on February 3, the partnership will bring the Italian club’s internationally recognised academy methodology to Adelaide for the first time, offering young players and local coaches access to elite training standards and a direct link to one of world football’s most decorated clubs.

The program will be based at the Marden Sports Complex, home of the Adelaide Blue Eagles (Azzurri Sports Club), which has a long history in South Australian football and a strong reputation for developing players from junior to senior levels.

Adelaide Blue Eagles secretary Paul Giordano said the academy would create meaningful opportunities for young footballers while strengthening the local football community.

“This partnership with Inter is a significant milestone for our club and for football development in South Australia,” Giordano said.

“Inter Academy Adelaide creates genuine pathways for young players, exposes our coaches to world-class methodology and strengthens the football community by connecting local talent to a global football network.”

Inter Milan Brand and Marketing Director Luca Adornato said the Adelaide launch was part of the club’s broader international growth strategy and highlighted Australia’s passion for the sport.

“The opening of Inter Academy Adelaide represents a significant milestone in the global growth of our project,” Adornato said.

“Australia is a country with a strong passion for football, and we are pleased to share our experience and values with the local community.”

The academy will follow Inter’s structured curriculum, focusing on technical, tactical, physical and ethical development, with guidance and oversight from Inter Academy coaches.

Registrations of interest are now open for boys and girls aged 5 to 16, with programs scheduled to begin in April 2026. Further information is available through the Inter Academy Adelaide website and official social media channels.

Inter Milan, founded in 1908, is one of the most successful clubs in world football, with a trophy haul that includes 20 Italian league titles and a UEFA Champions League crown.
