The ‘Ndrangheta, Italy’s richest and most powerful organised crime group, were involved in fan activities and rackets on merchandise, ticketing and other Mob-linked activities, including murder and attempted murder.

A judge handed down ten years in prison for Andrea Beretta, former leader of the Inter Curva Nord and collaborator of justice.

Beretta was found guilty of killing Antonio Bellocco, also in the Nerazzurri ultras board and scion of the eponymous ‘Ndrangheta clan, and for criminal association with mafia aggravation.

Luca Lucci, leader of the Milan Curva Sud accused of instigating the attempted murder of the ultra Enzo Anghinelli and of criminal association, also received ten years in prison.

These were just two of the several sentences issued by the Milan preliminary hearing judge in a fast-track trial.
