In a contest defined by a pivotal moment in the first half and a disciplined defensive display in the second, Inter did enough to edge past a stubborn home side.

The deadlock was broken in the 20th minute when Inter’s attacking link-up produced the only goal of the game. A precise pass from Francesco Pio Esposito found Lautaro Martínez in space just outside the box; the Argentine turned sharply, out bodied his marker and fired low into the corner beyond the keeper to give the visitors a crucial lead.

The second half saw Inter manage the game intelligently. A series of substitutions injected fresh legs and helped the Nerazzurri maintain midfield control, while the back line remained alert to cut out long balls and snuff out set-piece threats.

When the final whistle sounded, Inter had held on for a narrow but valuable win, especially since both AC Milan and Napoli also won. Udinese remain comfortably midtable.
