One town down, two towns to go!
Io, Mammeta E Tu had a successful opening weekend in Griffith with the locals loving it so much that they came back a second time.
Presented by the Settlement Services International (SSI) Future Ability Project and the newly formed Teatro a (r) Te; Io, Mammeta E Tu explores the journey of five Italo-Australians living with disability in Australia.
With stories, song and dance they explore what it is like to live a life less able.
At the end of the play, a greater understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is reached, and the cast celebrates lives changed forever!
The play is written and directed by Teatro a (r) Te company founder, Andrea Dal Bosco, who was born and raised in Sydney’s Little Italy, Leichhardt.
He is well versed in all things Italian.
The cast includes Maria de Marco, Arianna de Martino, Isabella Forte, Nino Lo Giudice, Silvio Ofria and Nick Whiley.
Teatro a (r) Te is a company that celebrates Italo-Australian talent and points of view.
Come join Maria, Aldo, Gaetano, Giuseppe and his daughter, Connie at the next meeting.
NOTE: This play will be performed in Italian with English subtitles.
