The body of the 12th and final victim of the recent landslide on Ischia was found on Thursday.
Like those of the other victims, the body of Maria Teresa Arcamone was found in the town of Casamicciola, the site of the catastrophic landslide.
The body was discovered in the mud near a car park, where most of the earth from Mount Epomeo hit the town.
The 9th, 10th and 11th victims of the November 25 disaster were found on the previous Thursday: another woman, Valentina Castagna, and her husband, Gianluca Monti, whose three children are also among the casualties, and Salvatore Impagliazzo, the partner of Eleonora Sirabella, the first confirmed victim of the disaster.
Civil Protection and Sea Policies Minister Nello Musumeci said Thursday that the landslide had affected 900 buildings in the town of Casamicciola.
Reporting to the Lower House on the disaster, he said that five people had been injured, including one who is currently in critical condition in Naples' Cardarelli hospital.
He said that 45 buildings had been declared completely unfit for use, and that 290 people had been made homeless by the tragedy.
The displaced are reportedly being put up in hotels, or have found other accommodation solutions.
Musumeci said that people unable to access their homes or places of business would also be able to request a suspension of their mortgage payments.
