Organised with the support of the Consul General of Italy in Melbourne, Vittorio Strigari, the evening will revolve around the election of four coveted titles: Queen of the Italian Ball; National Day Queen; Miss Tricolore; and Miss 2nd June.
The lucky winners will be awarded the following prizes, respective of the above titles: a return airfare to Italy, courtesy of Alitalia; a cruise trip for two to New Zealand, courtesy of Cogedar; another cruise trip for two to New Zealand, courtesy of Sitmar; and an artistic chandelier made with Murano glass, donated by Mirabella.
The winners will be chosen by attendees of the ball, who will be able to vote on a card attached to their entry ticket.
The presentation ceremony will be the highlight of the night, while other entertainment will include performances by two orchestras.
Tickets still available can be purchased for $6 at the Italian Consulate, located at 34 Anderson Street, South Yarra.
The proceeds from the event will go towards the Italian Australian Welfare Association (IAWA).
