The club celebrated the occasion with a luncheon and musical entertainment at the Hadfield Seniors Centre.
At the beginning of the event, President Rino Dell’Anno warmly welcomed the many members and guests in attendance, including visitor Gabriele Orsini, who had arrived from Italy and is the brother of member Salvatore Orsini, as well as Marcello D’Amico and his wife Pauline.
The formal proceedings opened with a moment of reflection. Maestro Antonio Villella, on keyboard and vocals, performed Il Silenzio in honour of members who are no longer with us, prompting visible emotion among those present.
Committee members, including president Dell’Anno, then served a generous three-course lunch: an Italian-style antipasto, lasagna, fish with side dishes and a lovely dessert.
In the afternoon, Villella continued to entertain guests with a well-received musical repertoire, while member Victor Galmayel delighted the audience with several warmly applauded performances.
The day concluded in a festive spirit with the traditional raffle draw.
The previous Sunday, February 15, the club had organised an excursion to Nagambie, Shepparton and surrounding areas.
Participants enjoyed lunch at the Shepparton RSL before visiting local orchards and the well-known agricultural outlet Boris, where many purchased fresh fruit—yellow peaches were very popular.
