Italy’s civil protection agency reported 260 deaths from the virus on Sunday, the lowest figure since March 14.

Italy’s death toll from the virus currently stands at 26,644, the highest in Europe and second-highest in the world only to the United States.

The number of confirmed cases rose on Sunday by 256 to 106,103 after decreasing for six days in a row.

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Italy is currently 64,928.

Italy has recorded 197,675 cases of the virus  in total, including people who are infected, the deceased and the people who have recovered.
