Italy will work well with Trump or Harris says Tajani

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has said that Italy will work well with “whoever will be the next president” of the United States.

His comments came after US President Jos Biden on Sunday announced he was withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race.

“We have to look with great serenity at the United States, a country that is a great friend”, said Tajani.

“We will work well with whoever will be the next president, both [Donald] Trump and [Kamala] Harris.”

“We are still working well with the Biden administration … [and] we had worked well with Trump’s,” Tajani told RAI’s Tg1 on Sunday night, commenting on Biden’s withdrawal announcement.

Biden has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.
