The employment rate among people aged 20-64 rose by 2.1 percentage points to reach 64.8 per cent in 2022 but a strong gender imbalance remained.
The employment rate among women stood at 55 per cent compared to 74.7 per cent for men.
Overall, part-time employment fell to 18.2 per cent of the total, but accounted for 8.3 per cent of jobs held by men and 31.8 per cent of jobs held by women.
