As expected, City dominated possession with 69 per cent, but only managed to create six chances compared to Juve’s eight.
Dusan Vlahovic put Juventus ahead eight minutes after the break with a header that went straight at City keeper Ederson, but the Brazilian was unable to stop the ball from just crossing the line.
Juventus sealed the points in the 75th minute when Timothy Weah picked out his American teammate Weston McKennie with a perfect cross. McKennie still had a lot to do, and do it he did with an acrobatic falling volley.
Juve are 14th on the UCL table with 11 points. They next play Club Brugge away and Benfica at home.
