Juventus had 59 per cent possession and created six scoring opportunities to Bologna’s seven.

The Italian giants were booed off the field at halftime after Lewis Ferguson had given Bologna the lead in the 24th minute.

Juventus responded to the jeers with more impetus after the break and thought they had drawn level on 52 minutes, but Vlahovic’s effort was ruled out for offside.

The home side got their breakthrough 10 minutes from time, when a cross from Samuel Iling-Junior was headed home by Vlahovic.
